Traditionally ISAA elections take place each year in March and new directors begin their terms in July.

If you are a Stanford Alum, we encourage you to run in this year's election to join the ISAA board of directors. Here is a summary of the requirements:

• Be passionate about making the Iranian Stanford Alumni community stronger!

• Be active in any of the current ISAA initiatives, or start your own. :)

• Minimum time commitment: between one and three quarterly (online/on campus) meetings.

As an ISAA board member, you will be able to support the types of initiatives that speak to you most. Currently, the board focuses on several activities: weekly hikes, poetry nights, music workshops, and social gatherings. If you are passionate about any of these or would like to initiate something new, please join us! 

We know that as alumni, you all lead busy personal and professional lives. This position requires participating in one meeting every month (typically online) and the occasional meeting in person at Stanford. Depending on the initiatives that you participate in, you can choose how much time you spend as an ISAA board member and the type of activity you like to participate in. For instance, you might prefer to help set up an online event for professional development, or you might like to organize social gatherings for our members.
